Frequently Asked Questions

How do I create a GIF from images?+
Upload multiple images, drag to reorder them, set the frame delay and loop options, then click Generate GIF. Your animated GIF will be created in your browser and ready to download.
What image formats can I use?+
You can use PNG, JPG, JPEG, and WebP images. All standard image formats are supported.
Is there a limit on the number of frames?+
There's no hard limit, but more frames mean larger file sizes and longer processing time. We recommend 2-50 frames for best results.
How do I change how fast the GIF plays?+
Use the frame delay setting. Delay is the pause between frames, so a smaller delay plays faster. Around 100ms per frame gives roughly 10 frames per second, which reads as smooth motion. For a slideshow of photos, 500ms to 1000ms per frame is easier to follow.
Does converting images to a GIF reduce quality?+
Somewhat. The GIF format supports a maximum of 256 colours per frame, so photographs and gradients can show banding that the original PNG or JPG did not have. Flat graphics, screenshots, UI recordings and line art convert cleanly. If you need full colour, export the same frames as a video instead.
Is this tool free?+
Yes, completely free with no signup required. All processing happens in your browser — your images are never uploaded to any server.
