Screen Recording

Record your screen as video or GIF with audio, webcam, and cursor options.

Video Recording

Record your screen as a video file with full audio and webcam support.

  1. 1Click the ScreenSnap Pro menu bar icon and select "Screen Recording" or press Cmd + Shift + R.
  2. 2Choose your recording area: fullscreen, window, or custom region.
  3. 3Click the Record button or press Enter to start.
  4. 4Click the stop button in the menu bar or press Cmd + Shift + R again to stop.

Audio

When recording video, you can capture system audio, your microphone, or both. Select your audio sources from the recording toolbar before starting.

Webcam

Enable your webcam to include a camera overlay in the recording. The webcam feed appears as a floating circle in the corner of your screen — perfect for tutorials, presentations, and walkthroughs.

GIF Capture

Capture your screen directly as an animated GIF. GIF capture is a separate mode optimized for short, lightweight screen recordings. GIFs are perfect for quick demos in GitHub issues, Slack, and documentation.

GIF capture does not support audio or webcam. For recordings that need audio or a camera overlay, use video recording instead.

Cursor Visibility

Show or hide the cursor in both video and GIF recordings. Toggle cursor visibility from the recording toolbar before starting your capture.
