Preferences & Settings
Configure save location, file naming, autostart, cloud upload, and more.
Save Folder
Set the default folder where screenshots and recordings are saved. Click Browse to choose any folder on your system. The default location is ~/Desktop/ScreenSnap Pro.
File Name Pattern
Customize how saved files are named using tokens. The default pattern is ScreenSnapPro-{{datetime}}. Available tokens:
- 1
{{datetime}}— inserts the current date and time. - 2
{{UUID}}— inserts a unique identifier.
Combine tokens to create patterns like screenshot-{{datetime}} or {{UUID}}-capture. The live preview shows what the file name will look like.
Launch at Login
Enable autostart to launch ScreenSnap Pro automatically when you log in to your Mac. The app starts minimized in the menu bar, ready for capture with your global hotkeys.
Screenshot Delay
Enable a timed delay before captures. Set the delay duration in seconds (default is 3 seconds). When enabled, a countdown runs before the screenshot is taken, giving you time to prepare your screen.
Cloud Upload
Enable cloud upload to share screenshots via link (requires an active license). When enabled, you can also turn on auto-upload to automatically upload every capture to ScreenSnap Cloud.
